The Bishop's Address
Bishop Skip Adams gave his annual address at the Convention Eucharist on Friday, November 16. Read the Bishop's Address here. November 16-17, 2018 “Faith, Hope, and Love” The Annual Convention of The Episcopal Church in South Carolina was held at the Church of the Holy Communion in Charleston, South Carolina on November 16-17, 2018. Our theme was “Faith, Hope, and Love.” We were delighted to have Becca Stevens, an Episcopal priest, social entrepreneur, speaker and author, as our convention speaker and workshop leader. The founder and president of Thistle Farms, a global community of survivors of trafficking and addiction that includes justice enterprises, she is widely honored her for work as an entrepreneur and justice advocate. Delegates voted to fill seats on the Diocesan Council, Standing Committee, the Trustees of the Diocese, and the Board of Trustees of the University of the South. Standing Committee Lay: Thomas B. Richardson, Diane Wilson Clergy: The Rev. Pam Fahrner, the Rev. Cn. Caleb Lee Meeting directly after Convention, the Standing Committee re-elected the Rev. Jeff Richardson as its president.
