Diocesan Prayer Calendar & The Anglican Cycle of Prayer

​Historically, the Diocese of South Carolina publishes the Bishop's visitation schedule combined with the Diocesan Prayer Calendar. As a symbol of our unity in Christ within this diocese, churches are listed on the prayer calendar on the dates when the Bishop visits (those congregations are listed with "visitation" noted). On other Sundays we pray for other congregations of the diocese, diocesan institutions, and other ministries. Unlike previous years, there will not be a visitation on each Sunday a congregation is listed, only if it is noted with "visitation."

As a diocese within the Anglican Communion, we also include the Anglican Cycle of Prayer (this links to the most recent version), a way for Anglicans around the world to pray together for all the provinces, churches and dioceses of the Communion, including The Diocese of South Carolina. The Anglican Cycle of Prayer from 2023 to 2026 is now available to download in a format that can be imported into calendars. Learn more at this link. 


2025 Diocesan Prayer Calendar

The final calendar for the entire year of 2025 should be available by April 23. Prayer entries for the Anglican Cyle of Prayer are listed for the full year.
