St. Christopher Camp & Conference Center

St. Christopher Camp and Conference Center, an intentional Christian ministry of the Episcopal Diocese of South Carolina, is located on 314 acres of beach, maritime forest, and undisturbed salt marsh on Seabrook Island. On the Atlantic coast about an hour south of Charleston, it is the perfect destination for groups, families, and those looking to step away from life’s demands for a few days.

Created as a summer camp for disadvantaged boys in 1938, St. Christopher has grown into a full-fledged, year-round conference facility. The summer camp now offers a dozen yearly sessions. Since 1981 the Barrier Island Environmental Education Program has provided an amazing outdoor education experience during the school year. We are dedicated to keeping our environmental footprint small.

The ministry staff is trained to serve in body, heart, and spirit. Come and swim near dolphins, walk through the woods, fish on the dock, or enjoy some of the most beautiful sunsets on the East Coast. We invite you to find rest, restoration, and renewal at St. Christopher.

Camp St. Christopher​

Located on Seabrook Island just south of Charleston, South Carolina, Camp St. Christopher spans 314 beautiful acres at the mouth of the North Edisto River, making it the perfect spot to spend a week at camp. Each summer Camp St. Christopher hosts about 1,200 campers of all ages, ranging from K-2 Buddy Campers who attend an overnight session with a parent or guardian, to high school students who attend the week-long Senior Session.

With over 80 years of ministry experience, Camp Saint Christopher continues to provide campers with a transformative experience, by  providing a safe environment for campers to grow through building new friendships, taking on fun new challenges, and learning about Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. The goal is for campers to return home with a better understanding of who they are as individuals created for a purpose within God’s plan. The staff of well-trained, college-age, Christian leaders works to see campers’ lives formed by the power and truth of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

During the day, campers participate in activities such as hiking through our pristine maritime forest, sailing and kayaking in the estuary, team building, seining, rock climbing, games, and much more, along with daily chapel and small-group Bible study.
